The PADI Mermaid Instructor Development Course can help you to learn mermaid diving and teaching skills, is the necessary step that learn to be a mermaid instructor and educator. 

Requirements and Notes:

1. Age 18 or older (participants under 18 must have parental/guardian consent).

2. Hold a PADI Advanced Mermaid certification (or an equivalent certificate).

3. A PADI diving medical statement signed by a doctor within the last 12 months.

4. Hold a certificate for EFR Primary and Secondary Care training completed within 24 months (or an equivalent certificate).

5. Participants over 60 must submit a valid diving medical certificate to the instructor for verification.

6. All applicants must complete the PADI Diver Medical Questionnaire and the PADI Mermaid Series Liability/Waiver Agreement.

7. Mermaid equipment and tail are included, but participants must bring their own swimsuit.

8. It is recommended to purchase diving insurance during the course

Performance of Completion:

• 5 skills assessment

  • Ability to swim 400m without swim aids

  • Ability to float comfortably at the surface for at least 10 mins

  • Ability to swim 800m, using mask, fins and snorkel, unlimited time

  • Towing a mermaid diver 100m with Mer-fins

  • Towing a unconscious and no-breath mermaid diver 50m with Mer-fins at -3m

• 7 mermaid skills performance

• Pass the theory exam

• Pass the knowledge teaching

• Pass the underwater skills teaching

* PADI Mermaid Instructor Certification will be certified after passing all the graduation requirements
