If you want to be a mermaid to dive deeper, learn beautiful diving postures and techniques, and experience gorgeous team moves, the PADI Mermaid Course is the best choice for you to go further.

*Note that the PADI Mermaid course includes Basic Mermaid, so you can start with PADI Mermaid – it is not necessary to get Basic Mermaid certification beforehand.

Requirements and Notes:

1. Age 10 or older (youths under 18 must obtain parental/guardian consent).

2. Those aged 60 or older must provide valid diving medical certification to the instructor for verification.

3. All registrants must complete the PADI Diver Medical Participant Questionnaire and the PADI Mermaid Series Course Liability Waiver/Risk Assumption Agreement.

4. Mermaid equipment and tail are included, but participants must provide their own swimsuit.

5. It is recommended to purchase diving insurance for the day.

6. Must have a certain swimming ability: able to swim 50 meters continuously without swim aids and float comfortably on the water surface for at least 5 minutes.

Course Schedule:

Theory Session:

• Through PADI eLearning, students can independently study the theoretical knowledge required for mermaid diving to prepare for activities in the water.

Confined water environment:

• In the swimming pool, the instructor will guide and practice practical skills. These include:

  • Basic skill practice

  • Mermaid kicks

  • Safety and response techniques

  • More dynamic mermaid skills, including C-shaped and U-shaped side turns, backflips 360, underwater handshakes, mermaid bubble blowing, and more.

• The instructor will conduct simple photography for the students.

Performance of Completion:

• Theory Exam

• Possess qualified mermaid skills

*Upon successful completion of the course, participants will be awarded the PADI Mermaid Certification
