PADI Basic Freediver course

The PADI Basic Freediver course is a subset of the PADI Freediver course. It’s a great first step for developing solid freediving skills. You learn basic freediving principles and focus on practicing breathhold techniques in a pool.

To enroll in a PADI Basic Freediver course you must be 12 years old or older. You need adequate swimming skills and need to be in good physical health. No prior experience with snorkeling, skin diving or freediving is required.

PADI Basic Freediver course consists of two main phases:

Theory class - 1 session (4 hrs):

  • Knowledge development through independent study with the PADI Freediver eLearning and face to face class.

Pool training - 2 sessions (2 hrs each):

  • To learn breathhold techniques as well as static and dynamic apnea, plus proper buddy procedures. 

Requirement:

  • >12yrs

  • Can swim 200m non-stop without fins or 300m non-stop with mask, fins and snorkel

  • Good Physical Health​


​Performance of Completion:

  • Theory  Exam

  • Static Apnea (STA): 1m 30s

  • Dynamic Apnea (DYN): 25m

  • Static and Dynamic Apnea Rescue

Price: MOP $2,500 each
